Agency History: | The Washington Secretary of State Corporations Division records formation and maintenance documents for Washington State domestic, foreign, and nonprofit corporations, as well as limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships, and limited liability companies. The Division also registers state-level trademarks, trusts, and charitable organizations seeking to solicit funds from the public. Additional duties of the Division include: recording and issuing licenses related to digital signatures and electronic authorizations; registering domestic partnerships, immigration assistants, and international student exchange programs; and issuing apostilles. |
