| Agency History: | Kitsap Transit is a municipal corporation which provides public transportation services in Kitsap County. It was established in September, 1982, as the Kitsap County Public Transportation Benefit Area Authority, and adopted the name Kitsap Transit in December, 1982. It is governed by a 10-member Board of Commissioners, which is comprised of nine elected officials and a non-voting member who represents the agency's labor unions. |
