WHEREAS, the fisheries industry is one of the foremost industries in our State, and
WHEREAS, it is vital to the economic health and prosperity of the State of Washington that this industry be perpetuated and kept prosperous, and
WHEREAS, leaders of the fisheries industry and other public citizens have in years past lent their talents and experience to see that the fisheries industry in our State has the benefit of the most progressive leadership and practices pertinent to the industry,
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington, do hereby re-constitute the Governor's Advisory Committee on Fisheries, and in so doing I request that this Committee give all reasonable assistance to the Director of the Department of Fisheries in matters concerning the Department in which he may seek their advice.
