The State of Washington is suffering from a serious energy shortage. In order to save substantial amounts of energy over the Christmas and New Year holiday season, it is appropriate that both December 24 and December 31 be designated as legal holidays.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Daniel J. Evans, Governor of the State of Washington, by virtue of the power vested in me under RCW 1.16.050, do hereby proclaim December 24, 1973, and December 31, 1973, as legal holidays.
IN WITNESS
WHEREOF, I
have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the State of Washington to be affixed at Olympia this 17th day of December A.D., Nineteen hundred and seventy-three. Daniel J. Evans |
