EXECUTIVE ORDER  11-14-63

I am Informed that an aircraft and pilot of the Washington Air National Guard have crashed in the primitive area of Northern Washington. I am also informed that local authorities do not have the manpower and equipment to conduct the search for this lost aircraft and pilot.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Albert D. Rosellini, Governor of the State of Washington, in order to protect life and property, and because of this apparent disaster, do hereby order the Adjutant General of the State of Washington to place on duty such troops and equipment of the Washington National Guard as may be necessary to perform the duties of search and rescue for the lost National Guard Aircraft and pilot, under authority vested in me under the provisions of R.C.W. 38.08.040.
