EXECUTIVE ORDER  70-06

I am informed that during the winter months the snow avalanche is a menace that poses a constant threat to vehicular traffic on certain sections of the Stevens Pass Highway. I am also informed that to protect life and or property the conditions causing this avalanche threat must be reduced periodically, and that the Highway Department does not have the manpower or equipment to safely accomplish the task.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set
my hand and caused the seal of the State of
Washington to be affixed at Olympia this
19th day of October A.D., Nineteen hundred and seventy.
