Gov. Gregoire�s statement on ferry funding

OLYMPIA � Gov. Chris Gregoire today released the following statement on the additional $7.6 million for Washington state�s ferry docks and terminals released from the United States Department of Transportation:

�This is great news for Washington state and our ferry system. I commend Secretary LaHood, and thank Senator Murray for her leadership and determination to secure this funding. Washington, with the nation�s largest ferry system, has now received amongst the most federal funds for ferries this year, as it should.�
