Gov. Gregoire’s statement on ferry funding

OLYMPIA – Gov. Chris Gregoire today released the following statement on the additional $7.6 million for Washington state’s ferry docks and terminals released from the United States Department of Transportation:

“This is great news for Washington state and our ferry system. I commend Secretary LaHood, and thank Senator Murray for her leadership and determination to secure this funding. Washington, with the nation’s largest ferry system, has now received amongst the most federal funds for ferries this year, as it should.”
