PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR

WHEREAS, the severe weather patterns which began on October 16, 2003 are continuing to produce extensive rains, winds, landslides, and floods resulting in extensive damage to homes, businesses, public utilities, public facilities and infrastructure in Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson and Snohomish Counties;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Gary Locke, Governor of the state of Washington as a result of the aforementioned situation and under RCW 38.08, 38.52, and 43.06, do hereby amend the proclamation of October 17, 2003 and further proclaim that a State of Emergency exists in Kitsap, Mason, Jefferson and Snohomish Counties.

  IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the State of Washington to be Affixed at Olympia this 22nd day of October A.D., Two thousand three.
