Supplemental Changes
Increased Demand for Food
A significant number of Washington residents will suffer a loss or reduction in food stamp eligibility beginning in May or June of 1997. The proposal provides funding to food banks to purchase additional food in response to this increased demand.
Seattle Symphony
The committment to fund the Seattle Symphony through the state Building for the Arts program is fulfilled through this proposal. With the funding provided, the state has no additional obligation to fund the construction of the new symphony hall.
