Notes from transcriber Maggie Rail, September 2001:
To reach the Masonic Lodge Cemetery, drive west through Roslyn on Pennsylvania Ave. Continue hanging left till you reach Memorial Road, where you turn left or south. Continue following the road and turn right. You may either take the first road to your right between the two sections of the Old City Cemetery, or stay on the road past all the cemeteries until you reach the Foresters and take a right. This will take you up the hill and it is the last cemetery as you head east on your left. The Masonic Lodge Cemetery lies on the east end of the northern most part of the steep hillside above the upper road in the cemetery area. On the west it abuts the Dr Starkovich #1 Cemetery. It sits across the road from the Old City Cemetery, which is to the south. Lat: 47° 13' 15"N, Lon: 121° 00' 01" T20N R15E Sec 17. See map.

Masonic Lodge is one of the largest and oldest fraternal organizations in the world. It aims to promote brotherhood and to foster morality among it's members. The first lodge was chartered in 1888 in Roslyn.

I surveyed this cemetery on Aug 20, 2001, using pencil and pad, plus my digital camera. Transcribed Sep 15, 2001, last edited Mar 22, 2010.
