Notes from transcriber Maggie Rail, October 2001:
New City Cemetery is one of the cemeteries on the northern side of the southeast group of cemeteries in Roslyn, WA. To reach it drive west through Roslyn on Pennsylvania Ave. Continue hanging left till you reach Memorial Road, where you turn left or south. Take the first left and continue till you see the sign on your right. It is just east of the Veterans Cemetery. Lat: 47° 13' 13"N, Lon: 120° 59' 60" WT 20N R15E Sec17. See map.

The city of Roslyn has three city cemeteries. The first city cemetery is now called, the Old City Cemetery. This was the second one, being started when the first one was full. It was called New City Cemetery. (on the map it is City Cemetery.) The third one is the main cemetery today, because the first two are full. It is called Memorial Gardens and lies just east and extends south of New City Cemetery.

I was able to get a copy of the records and a plat map for this cemetery from the Roslyn City Hall and I placed an asterisk after all from this source which means there was no headstone.

For the burial dates added from the plat map, please note that sometimes they could be the death date. At some point they changed and I could not figure it out, but it seemed that after about 1950, it was the death date.

I surveyed this cemetery on Aug 21, 2001, using pencil and pad, plus my digital camera. Transcribed in 2001, last edited Apr 25, 2007.
