Notes from transcriber Maggie Rail, October 2001:
To reach the Sokol Cemetery, drive west on Pennsylvania Ave to Memorial Rd where you take a left. Stay on this road around the corner to the right, then onto the dirt road and up the hill. This cemetery is the last one on the west end of the upper road next to St. Barbara Cemetery. Lat: 47° 13' 15"N, Lon: 121° 00' 12"W T20N R15E Sec 17. See map.

The Sokol lodge symbol is the falcon and was organized in 1904 by Anton Janacek, John Zobec and Mike Jaske. Their main meeting area was the falcon hall in Ronald. The main purpose of the lodge was to promote patriotism and athletic skills among the membership. After WWI the lodge declined. (from sign)

This definitely is an abandoned cemetery. It was owned and cared for by the Sokol Lodge at one time. I felt bad I could find no more markers. I am certain there must be more buried here. I surveyed this cemetery on Aug 19, 2001, using pencil and pad, plus my digital camera. Transcribed Oct 23, 2001.
