Introduction |
This collection consists of 808 publicity shots taken by the State Patrol photographer for the Office of the Governor during the terms of Governors Arthur Langlie, Albert Rosellini, and Daniel J. Evans, 1949-1975.
The majority of these images were taken in the governor’s office and include bill signings, appointments to various state offices, awards, speeches, and meetings with federal, state, and foreign officials. All images are 4 x 5 inch black and white negatives. The collection was transferred to the Washington State Archives in the course of the normal records management process, to be preserved as documentation of Governor’s activities.
