Agency History: | Bordering north of Seattle, the City of Shoreline was first platted with the neighborhood of Richmond Beach in 1890. It was not until 1944 that the area became known as Shoreline, since the local school district boundaries streched from "Shore to Shore" (Puget Sound to Lake Washington) and "Line to Line" (the Seattle City Limit to the Snohomish County Line). Though its boundaries have changed slightly, the "City of Shoreline" was incorporated in 1995 and is located in King County. |
