The Kartar Cemetery (also known as Condon Cemetery), index lists individuals interred at the Kartar Cemetery in Okanogan County, Washington. See photos. Index information about an individual may include name, birth date, birth place, death date, and names of family members. Index data was compiled by Maggie Rail, a member of the Washington State Cemetery Association who has transcribed over 400 cemeteries since 1993.
Kartar Cemetery is located at Lat: 48° 13' 11"N, Lon: 119° 16' 10"W, T31N R28E Sec 2. There are 62 individuals listed in this index. This index is in English. This index is open for research. Transcribed by Maggie Rail, Dec 21, 2003. Transcription Notes: “To reach the cemetery from Hwy 155 heading east out of Omak, take the first road after the sawmill, then onto the Omak Lake Road for about 10+mi. Watch for and turn left onto the Kartar Road, which is another few miles. The cemetery will be found after you are almost to the end of the lake, and sure you will never get there.” “I could not find any history of this cemetery. It appears to be a family cemetery at least to start with. It is obvious there are many unmarked burials. Some crosses without legible writing on them. Unmarked mounds. It is still in use.” “I walked this cemetery on Jun 24, 2003, using my digital camera.” |
