To reach it when you come to the bridge take a right turn onto Twisp-Winthrop East Rd. continue to Filer Ave, turn left and continue to Cemetery Rd which takes you up the hill to the cemetery.” “This is a beautiful cemetery maintained by the Sullivan Cemetery Association, Winthrop WA 98862.” “Matthew Morris and I surveyed this cemetery on Apr 06, 2000 for the first time. I transcribed from our findings, plus compared our work with the Okanogan Genealogical Society's last reading. An asterisk * has been placed at the end of an entry that was only found in their work, which indicates there is not be a headstone, or we missed it.” “I have digital photos of most of the markers, from when I was there in 2000, 2002 and 2007. In addition, thanks to Earl Giddings, who assisted me with photos I did not have up to the summer of 2006. In May of 2007, Vicki Morris and I revisited and read the cemetery again, using digital cameras. There are still unmarked graves we did not find.” |
