According to Educational Service District No. 113 records housed at the Southwest Regional Archives, Olympia School District was consolidated into No. 111 in 1966. It encompasses previous school districts including Olympia No. 1 and South Bay No. 11, both established in 1896. Previous consolidated Olympia School District numbers include 318 (established 1929), 320 (established 1930) and 1 (established 1950).
