This index is open for research. Notes from transcriber Maggie Rail, 1999, last edited May 21, 2008: “This cemetery is located SE of Chewelah WA. To reach it take Indian Hill Road east of 395 about a mile south of Chewelah. The gate is located just NE of Chewelah Memorial Park.” “There are numerous graves unmarked except for wooden crosses or cement markers. This has been caused both from aging and from vandalism down through the years. It is evident that there are many missing names. At present it appears to be abandoned.” “If anyone knows of someone buried here please let me. I will be very happy to add them. Listings followed by an asterisk * were from other records, and I found no stone.” “I walked and read this cemetery Jul 31, 1999.” |
