It appears to be the area where they buried those who could not pay much for their burial. The cemetery in front of it is perpetual care. This gets no care.” “From the 'Stevens County Reporter' I found that this cemetery was situated near the old church on what was known then as church flat, one and a half miles east of Colville. In that article it listed several names of burials in this cemetery marked by only a small picket or enclosure, which I did not find when I read this cemetery. I have placed an * asterisk following these names. If anyone else knows a name for a burial which I do not have, I would be happy to add them to my listing.” “I personally did a survey of this cemetery Aug 20, 1999.” |
