Then as the highway wants to curve left, continue north and veer off the highway onto a street which will lead you right to the cemetery.” “This is the cemetery for the city of Valley WA and is maintained by a board and volunteers from the Valley Bible Church. I found it in good shape. Headstones were very easy to read, except for any which were too weathered from age.” “I have placed a generalized location for each of those I found a stone for. It is not the official burial location for them, but might help to locate them. In 2007 I added all of the locations from the sexton files as well. Those entries with an asterisk * and a location are from the sexton files for which I found no stone or marker in the cemetery. Those with an asterisk * and without a location came from an obit or previous reading of this cemetery.” “Michelle Morris and I walked and read this cemetery, Jun 20, 2001. I used my digital camera, but did not manage to get all of the stones. On May 10, 2006, I again walked the cemetery and now I do have a digital photo of all existing and legible stones to that date.” Learn about the documentation of Cemetery Records in Washington and what information is found in the various record types by selecting the tab that says "About this Collection"here. |
