Notes from transcriber Suzanne Livingstone, Jan 2012: “Directions: Exit 270 (Birch Bay-Lynden Rd) off of Interstate I5, head East. Take immediate left after exit onto Valley View Rd and head North 1.9 miles. Cemetery entrance will be on the left.” “Cemetery is in very good condition and well cared for. It is fenced but is accessible. There is room for a few cars to park alongside the cemetery fence.” “Cemetery Contact: Haynie Helping Hand Club, Mrs. Alvin Van Dyke, President, 8651 Valley View Rd, Custer, WA 98240.” “I walked and read the cemetery in September 2010. The earliest noted burial was 1892. The stones listed may not be all of them, only the ones that were visible and legible. It appeared there was at least twenty-one more possible stones that were unmarked or not legible.”
