Notes from transcriber Suzanne Livingstone, Jan 2012: “Directions: Exit 270 off of Interstate I5, head West 2.9 miles on Birch Bay-Lynden Road. Turn right onto Blaine Rd (SR 548). Continue North 1.2 miles. Cemetery entrance will be on the right hand side, just before California Creek.” “Cemetery is in very good condition and well cared for. Cemetery contains the graves of several of the Icelanders that came to this region. There is a drive way thru and around the cemetery.” “I walked and read the cemetery in September 2010. The earliest noted burial was 1881. The stones listed may not be all of them, only the ones that were visible and legible. It appeared there was at least a dozen more possible stones that were unmarked or no names.”
