Introduction |
The Saint Anne Cemetery index lists individuals interred at this cemetery located in Spokane County, Washington. Death dates on the markers range from 1880-2005, and 1817 is the earliest birth date shown. Index information about an individual may include name, birth date, birth place, death date, and names of family members. Index data was compiled by Maggie Rail, a member of the Washington State Cemetery Association who has transcribed over 400 cemeteries since 1993.
The Saint Anne Cemetery is located at Lat: 47° 35' 45"N, Lon: 117° 41' 27"W T24N R41E Sec. 7. There are 235 individuals listed in this index. This index is in English. This index is open for research. Abbreviation used in this index: ESH – Eastern State Hospital, Medical Lake, WA. Notes from transcriber Maggie Rail, Jan 26, 2000, last edited Mar 06, 2012: “Saint Anne Cemetery is located about 1/4 mile north if the town of Medical Lake. The cemetery has an area of 5 acres on Brooks Road.” “It is presumed that the land was donated by a man named Lefevre, pronounced "Lefay". The earliest date of burial on a grave stone is one for a member of the Lefevre family, buried in 1880.” “The burials in this cemetery include many of the patients from Lakeland Village and Eastern State Hospital, between 1955 and 1967. Both of these facilities are state institutions located in Medical Lake.” “After I walked this cemetery I have also transcribed from the Sexton files which are housed at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Medical Lake, WA. They are records from 1880 to Dec 31, 1998. This cemetery has been closed since about 1985 with a few private burials since.” “This cemetery is in very bad condition, with little or no maintenance done by anyone. The last time I visited in 2003, I took digital photos of the few remaining and legible stones.” |
