These records include the minutes of the Clallam County Rural Library District Board of Trustees from February 15, 1945 through May 21, 1981; and the North Olympic Library System Board from January 04, 1973 through December 22, 1994. There is a gap in all board minutes between the meeting dates of December 14, 1959 and January 8, 1965.

Minutes are the official record of the proceedings of the Board. Minutes may include date, members present, summary of official reports from various departments, budget approvals, and other business. The records in this collection are indexed by date.

Agency History: The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) is Clallam County's public library with four branches. Decisions about the library and its direction and administration is decided by the Library Board of Trustees with input from the community they serve. The Library Board of Trustees is made up of five residents of Clallam County appointed by the County Commissioners to serve five year terms. The Library Director is appointed by the Library Board to administer the operations of the Library.
