Description:
These records include affidavits submitted in support of applications for marriage licenses at the Pend Oreille County Auditor’s office from 1911-1948. The Affidavit lists the names of the involved parties, their ages and places of residence, and includes the statement of a witness who affirms that the couple is known to the witness and that they are of legal age to marry, are not habitual criminals, and that the witness knows of no legal impediment to their marriage.

This record is filed as part of the application for a marriage license, and as such does not document that a marriage took place, but rather that the couple applied for a license.
