These records include marriage certificates issued by the Adams County Auditor, 1947-1948. The Certificates list the names of the involved parties, their places of residence, the date the license was issued, the date of the wedding, the names of the witnesses and the name of the officiant. A marriage certificate documents that a marriage actually took place and was legally recorded by the county.

|Agency History:||The Washington Territorial Legislature created Adams County in 1883 from a portion of Whitman County. The county is located in the southeastern portion of the state and was named for President John Adams. The county seat is Ritzville.|
