To reach Mica Peak Cemetery from Freeman WA turn right onto Hwy 27 and continue south for 2 miles turning east onto Elder Road, and continue for 3.6 miles. The cemetery is on the north side of the road.

This cemetery was incorporated Jan 09, 1899. Deeds were not distributed until the 1920s. Additional acreage of land was purchased on Sep 02, 1922. There are perhaps many buried before this time that I do not have. If anyone knows of a burial not listed, I would be happy to add, if you have proof.

I have transcribed from the readings acquired by myself and Vicki Morris when we walked the cemetery on Apr 21, 1999 reading all of the stones and markers. After that I compared this work with old copies of sexton records. We found this cemetery to be cared for although it is not perpetual care.

I again walked this cemetery on Aug 26, 2002, using my digital camera. I have photos of most of the headstones. I was able to add more names to the first work. Then in Feb 2003, I received additional information and names from Richard Burton, the current president of the Mica Peak Cemetery Association.
