This scrapbook covers Daniel J. Evans governorship in the State of Washington, January through April 1965. There are 198 pages in the scrapbook, and pages are intermixed with two different sizes: 14 x 11.5 in. or 13 x 10.75 in. Dominant subjects include Evans’ oath-taking, the Governor’s Inaugural Ball, the Evans’ move into the Governor’s Mansion, Nancy Evans as First Lady, “Blueprint for Progress”, redistricting, the budget, tax plans, President Johnson’s invitation to the White House, and the “Orient Trade Mission”. Pages may include photographs, newspaper and article clippings, correspondence, speeches, promotional materials, memorabilia, and ephemera. This scrapbook is volume 8 of 40.
