Description: | This collection consists of 799 photographic prints from two separate accessions. The photographs in this collection were created between 1916 and 1996 by the G.M. Standifer Construction Company and the Port of Vancouver and document life at the shipyards, and the building and launch of steel and wooden ships by the G.M. Standifer Construction Company. It also includes photographs of the remodel of the Port of Vancouver, Terminal No. 2 and various other photographs of the Port. The G.M. Standifer Construction Company built both wooden and steel ships in Vancouver between 1918 and 1921 to aid in the World War I effort. |
