Description: | These records will eventually include certificates for individuals who died in the State of Washington from July 1, 1907- December 31, 1996. Certificates often include some or all of the following information; place of death, residence, name of deceased, date of death, gender, race, marital status, date of birth, age, occupation, birthplace, father's and mother's names, cause of death and burial information. On January 1, 2021 RCW 70.58A.510 allows Death Certificates to be transferred from the custody of the Department of Health to the State Archives. The Department of Health will still provide certified copies RCW 70.58A.510 (7). |
