Agency History:	Named after Luke McRedmond, the city also went by the name Salmonberg in 1870 and then the name Melrose in 1881, after a local inn, Melrose House. In 1883 the City of Redmond became the official name and the city was platted in 1891. The City of Redmond was incorporated in 1912 and is located in King County.
