Floor Recordings are verbatim recordings of the House of Representatives conducting its legislative business. The recordings are considered minutes of the House and serve as companions to the House Journal, a publication compiled yearly by the Journal Clerk following each legislative session. Actions taken on the floor include debate and discussion on Bills and potential amendments, as well as Memorials, and Resolutions. Also included are the State of the State address given by the Governor, the State of the Judiciary, presented by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, the Oaths of Office being taken by legislative and statewide elected officials, and other special recognition events.
