This scrapbook was created by the Governor’s Mansion Foundation and includes materials created during the John Spellman and Booth Gardner administrations between 1984 and 1989 to document the cultural, social, and organizational aspects of the Governor’s Mansion and the involvement of First Lady Jean Gardner. There are 125 pages in this scrapbook. The cover measures 14.5 x 13.25 inches, and each page measures 13.75 x 11.5. Pages consist primarily of clippings, and photographs but also invitations, programs, and various other documents.

Notes The scrapbook can be browsed page by page. Pages are numbered as they fall in the scrapbook (ex: “p003” is page 3 of the scrapbook). Some pages include overlapping or folded items. Agency History: The Governor's Mansion Foundation is an all-volunteer, non-profit, non-partisan organization that honors the historical and cultural significance of the Washington State Governor's Mansion by maintaining and enhancing the furnishings, art, and library collection in the public rooms of the Mansion, educating the public about the Mansion and its history, and advocating on its behalf. The Governor's Mansion Foundation was founded in 1968 by former first lady Nancy Evans.
