This scrapbook was created by the Governor’s Mansion Foundation and includes materials created during the Daniel J. Evans administration, between 1972 and 1974 to document the foundation’s formation, efforts to preserve and refurbish the mansion, and fundraising events. There are 130 pages in this scrapbook. The cover measures 14 x 12 inches, and each page measures 13.75 x 11.5. Pages consist primarily of clippings, photographs, and invitations, but also various forms of communication including fliers, correspondence, and press releases.

Agency History: The Governor's Mansion Foundation is an all-volunteer, non-profit, non-partisan organization that honors the historical and cultural significance of the Washington State Governor's Mansion by maintaining and enhancing the furnishings, art, and library collection in the public rooms of the Mansion, educating the public about the Mansion and its history, and advocating on its behalf. The Governor's Mansion Foundation was founded in 1968 by former first lady Nancy Evans.
