Introduction This database contains extracts from the Record of Penitentiary Convicts of nearly 10,000 inmates housed in the Walla Walla State Penitentiary from 1887-1922. Additional information may be found on selected inmates by requesting copies of the inmates’ files which are housed at the Washington State Archives. These files may include several types of information, including the father and mother’s birthplace, children, religion, military service, marital status, photographs, physical description, education, names of nearest relatives, and court records.
