Electronic copies of marriage applications and certificates, 1996-present, were transferred directly to the Washington State Archives, Digital Archives from the Pacific County Auditor, who transfers recently recorded documents periodically. Agency History: | Pacific County was created from Lewis County by the Oregon Territorial Legislature in 1851. It is located on the far southwest corner of the state and named for the Pacific Ocean. The county seat is South Bend. |
