Notes from transcriber Jacky Rudeen (current as of November 2009):

Ewell P. Brinnon founded the cemetery in 1888. As the area developed, Brinnon recognized the need for a cemetery and set aside one acre for this purpose. In his will, dated December 24, 1895, he stipulated “…that $600 be used by executor to improve reserve lot in cemetery and fence in the graveyard at Brinnon."
