This database is an index to the Keller Cemetery located in Ferry County, Washington. There are 157 names listed. Cemetery Location Lat: 48° 05' 23"N, Lon: 118° 41' 31"W Sec 20 T29N R33E Directions Keller Cemetery is located on the west side of Hwy 20 about a mile north of Keller. Transcription Notes It is nestled in a clearing amid evergreens, and looks to have much space for future burials. The cemetery is well maintained although not perpetual care. A list of records for this cemetery was provided to me by Joyce Nee of Keller. Any names below followed by an asterisk * have been added from her records. This means for these I found no headstone or marker. First surveyed on Jun 25, 2000 when I visited and walked the cemetery. I found many unmarked or unreadable burial places. I have photos of most of the stones. I revisited this cemetery in 2003. It was so sad. The July 2003 forest fire had swept through parts of the cemetery leaving it's mark. A new sign has been placed at this cemetery along with the other one, calling it Cemetery #1080. There is no tribal fence around it. I presumed it was not a tribal cemetery. I have not found the answer to this as yet. I was told by the townsfolk that it was the city cemetery. ~ Maggie Rail |
