Introduction |
The Michigan Prairie Cemetery Index lists individuals interred at the Michigan Prairie Cemetery in Adams County, Washington. Index information about an individual may include: name, birth date, birth place, death date, and names of family members. Dates on the markers range from 1890, when the cemetery was established, to approximately 1980. Index data was compiled by Bud and Virginia Engelhardt in August 1998 and was updated on December 9, 2009.
The Michigan Prairie Cemetery is approximately 9 miles east and 1mile south of Hatton, or one-half mile west of the intersection of Jantz Rd and Yeisley Rd in the SE corner of SW1/4 Sec. 27 Twp 15N Range 33E. The Michigan Prairie Cemetery is located at Lat: 46° 45' 04"N, Lon: 118° 39' 38"W T15N R33E Sec 27. There are 88 individuals listed in this index. Notes from the transcribers, Bud and Virginia Engelhardt, December 9, 2009: This cemetery was established in 1890 and the size is little more than an acre in the middle of a wheat field. A dirt road leads through the wheat field to the fenced cemetery. It is not irrigated, but is clean, quiet and serene, and has a few locus trees. This index is in English.
