Introduction |
The Molson Cemetery Index lists individuals interred at the Molson Cemetery in the town of Molson, Okanogan County, Washington. Index information about an individual may include: name, birth date, birth place, death date and names of family members. The dates of these interments run from 1906 to 1999. Index data was compiled by Jean Cook, Lola Power and Opal Williams for the Okanogan Genealogy Society in 1979, in addition to Ken and Dee Marrs and Bud and Virginia Engelhardt in July of 1999.
There are 263 individuals listed in this index. Notes from the transcribers: The following information was taken from four different sources: headstones, a cemetery chart located at the cemetery entrance, sexton records, and a compilation done by Jean Cook, Lola Power and Opal Williams for the Okanogan Genealogy Society in 1979. Where differences were found with the available data, the information on the headstone was usually recorded, but in the case of illegible or lack of marker, the sexton records were used. A portion of the cemetery is posted as the Catholic Cemetery. The headstones found in the Catholic area are identified with an asterisk (*) following the name. In 1912 the Molson Cemetery was moved to the present location which is 3/4 mile south of Molson on the Oroville-Molson paved road. Molson Cemetery is located at Sec. 8, T40N, R29E. This Index is in English. This Index is open for research. |
