The cemetery is actually in the midst of a very rural area. I was unable to find out who owns and maintains this cemetery. It contains the burials of many of the early German settlers to this area. It appears to be cared for by the individual families with perhaps a couple cleanings spring and fall by a group of the locals. If anyone has a name I am missing who is buried here, I would be very happy to add to my work. Judging from the dates on the stones, it started at the turn of the century. It is not being used that often in the last few years. I read this cemetery on May 21, 2005, using my digital camera. This includes all existing stones and markers to that date. Those followed by an * asterisk I did not get a photo of. - Maggie Rail Abbreviations: c/o = child of b. = born d. = died d/o = daughter of h/o = husband of s/o = on of s/w = stone with w/o = wife of |
