Notes: Image shows two men in overalls working inside a house, one hanging wallpaper with a light-colored floral pattern and the other using a brush on a door frame. The room has dark, glossy wooden trim and a high window. "State of Wash. / E. R. A. - Dis. # 2 / Proj. 17-C1-8 / Oct. 19, 1934 / Neg. No. 546 / Paper Hanging & Varnish Woodwork / 4208 Genesee St. / Seattle" -- handwritten in lower left-hand corner on recto. "K.N." -- handwritten on recto in lower right-hand corner. "Housing Department / (61) A WERA paper-hanger and painter at work in a house being made ready for occupancy by relief clients. The Housing Department contacted owners of long-vacant homes, offering to rehabilitate the structure in return for a lease, ranging from six months to a year, or longer." -- on typewritten note attached to verso.
