Dis. #2 / Project 17-B15-96 / Neg. No 750 3/13-35" -- handwritten in lower left-hand corner on recto. "Slide 1600 Block Broadway North" -- handwritten in center bottom on recto. "K.N." -- handwritten on recto in lower right-hand corner. "Slide Prevention / (160) The proverbial stitch in time, if taken, might have eliminated the danger of slides in the Broadway North district. It was not taken, however, and the damage shown in this picture, ensued. The view was taken in the 1600 block before WERA crews started salvage and prevention operations." -- on typewritten note attached to verso.
