Trees and a plume of smoke are visible in the background. "State D. P. W. Dis. # 2 / Project 17-B5-308 / Neg. No 776 6/27-35" -- handwritten in lower left-hand corner on recto. "K.N." -- handwritten on recto in lower right-hand corner. "Patterson Creek Road and Bridge / (78) A round timber bridge with rock-filled crib was built over Patterson Creek, and a road six-hundred feet long was cleared, grubbed, graded and graveled; also, a 600 foot drainage ditch was dug." -- on typewritten note attached to verso.
