"Slide Prevention / (155) Under the sponsorship of the city of Seattle, WERA labor, supervised by an executive of the Streets & Sewers department, in the summer of 1934, worked to save property in various parts of the city seriously threatened by slides. This view shows slide prevention operations in the Laurelhurst district." -- on typewritten note attached to verso.
