"Repainting City Bridges / (121) Cleaning and painting of six Seattle bridges was a continuation of a CWA project. While in operation structural cleaners, painters, electric welders and numerous semi-skilled workmen were given employment. This picture is of the Fremont bridge over the Lake Washington ship canal." -- on typewritten note attached to verso.
