"Seward Park Storm Oct. 21-34 / App. 1000 Trees Destroyed / 1500 Cords Salvaged" -- handwritten in lower right-hand corner on recto. "Storm Cleanup / (83) Under sponsorship of the Seattle Park Board WERA crews worked 41,915 man-hours bucking up trees and burning debris left in the wake of a high wind storm which wreaked much damage in Seattle and nearby territory lake [sic] in the Fall of 1934. Pictured are some of the trees blown down in Seward Park." -- on typewritten note attached to verso.
