"State of Wash. / W. E. R. A. Dist #2 / 17-B4-36 / Aug. 15 - 1934 Neg. 445 / Riverton School. District #144" -- handwritten in lower left-hand corner on recto.
"Riverton School District # 144 / (49) On this school property a dry stone wall 8 x 150 feet was constructed and earth fill was made, and a cinder path 108 feet long was made. Some interior and exterior repairs were made to the school house proper." -- on a typewritten note attached to verso.
