Health Insurance Pool, Washington State

RCW 48.41.040

Provides access to health insurance for people who are unable to obtain coverage in the private marketplace. The board of directors develops and approves a uniform screening mechanism for subscribers to enter the pool. The board also manages the pool, sets assessments on member health plans, and collects premiums from subscribers.
