Governor Gregoire Responds to Senate Transportation Budget Proposal

OLYMPIA � Governor Chris Gregoire today said the transportation budget released by Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen (D-Camano Island) and Sen. Dan Swecker (R-Rochester) would further the state transportation plan by investing in critical projects.

�The Senate budget proposal invests in projects that are critical to move people and products across the state,� said Governor Gregoire. �Although there are differences between our budget proposals, we will work together to make our roads safer and move traffic more quickly.�
